Hey there, I’m Katie
In 2015, my husband and I bought a used motorhome, which we renovated before hitting the road as full-timers in 2016. It was a 4-year journey I’ll never forget, and I’m grateful for the adventures and inner growth we experienced along the way.
While we dove into RV life for experiences, creating a cozy, stylish, and meaningful interior was equally important to us. However, during our renovation (back in 2015), I struggled to find more than a handful of renovated RVs focused on design (except Airstreams). This made it challenging during some of our projects as we had NO IDEA what we were doing, but thankfully, we didn’t let it stop us.
We shared most of our RV renovation projects on our YouTube channel and website, Mountain Modern Life, hoping to inspire others. If nothing else, we figured our experience could help fellow RVers know what not to do.
Once we hit the road, I became so excited (and a bit obsessed) whenever I came across a new camper renovation. And thankfully, RV renovations were on the rise. I knew I couldn’t be the only one craving more RV interior inspiration, so I began featuring amazing RV renovations on Mountain Modern Life. I wanted to bring awareness and inspiration to those interested in creating a more stylish, functional, and meaningful home on wheels.
It’s been incredible to watch the RV renovation community grow over the years, and no longer is there a shortage of RV renovations, renovators, and resources to draw inspiration or guidance from.
I’ve been dreaming of creating a separate website dedicated to RV transformations, and it’s exciting to finally make that dream a reality! I want Wanderful RV Interiors to be the website I wish existed during our own RV renovation. Over the next few months, I’ll continue moving all of the RV tours currently featured on Mountain Modern Life to this website, while posting new tours as well.
My goal is to create an inspiring space where information is easier to find and more enjoyable to browse. This will also allow me to transition Mountain Modern Life back to a more personal blog focused on DIY and home inspiration – it’s also where I’ll continue to document our current motorhome remodel.
I hope the renovations and renovators featured here will inspire and empower you to transform your own home on wheels.
